Summary

Facing Prime Zeus, Omni Vegito and Piccolo drop to base form and accept death; Zeus explains that they meant to kill outside the tournament, that Genesis is spared only because he is Zeus’s own fighter, and apologises (ep 0235 00:01:10–00:05:54). Omni Vegito’s last words — that Genesis would not have beaten him and he never got to show what he can do — leave Zeus silent, and instead of erasing them he sends them back to the fighters’ cave quarters (ep 0235 00:06:25–00:09:06). Omni Vegito decides Zeus wants to see what he can really do and resumes training (ep 0235 00:09:15–00:10:01). In Zeus’s realm, Genesis hangs in unbreakable chains, despairing, until a blob of his own flesh becomes Ultra Vegito: when Genesis caught both Vegitos’ fists, Ultra Vegito slipped a charred piece of his Buu body onto his hand, and it spread over him unseen (ep 0235 00:10:21–00:19:54). Ultra Vegito tries to take “the power of Zeus” but his Buu absorption slides off, Genesis’s lightning blasts the goo away, his Cell tail snaps on Genesis’s skin, and the room’s own lightning stops his android absorption hand (ep 0235 00:20:38–00:27:21). Genesis explains the room is imbued with Zeus’s energy, so nothing from outside can touch him; Ultra Vegito turns into blood and enters Genesis’s body through his ears, only to meet Genesis inside, eager for a fight (ep 0235 00:27:35–00:32:17). At the restored stadium Zeus calls Round 10: Hades vs Zeus (ep 0235 00:32:51–00:33:54). Hades panics; Demigra says their plan is already in motion, that they are no longer the only devils, and that thinning out mortals helps the “young devils” reach the final stages (ep 0235 00:34:07–00:35:59). Demigra, still posing as Vegeta, is joined by a giant three-eyed fusion of Hades’s remaining fighters; Zeus finds his energy “strangely familiar” and sends in Saga, making his tournament debut, and Ardos (ep 0235 00:36:03–00:38:47). Saga calls Ardos “the bastard son, with two elder gods for brothers”, takes a call on a flip phone, and walks on (ep 0235 00:39:15–00:40:51).

Key events

  • 00:04:28–00:04:50 Zeus: one of them was already spared once; killing outside the tournament is forbidden and “Both of you intended on death!”
  • 00:05:18–00:05:36 Genesis “carries the favour of the gods”: he stays trapped until he is needed again in the tournament.
  • 00:06:55 Omni Vegito: “The real shame here is that I never got to show what I could really do!”
  • 00:08:10–00:08:55 Omni Vegito and Piccolo vanish and reappear, alive, in the fighters’ cave quarters.
  • 00:11:14–00:11:21 Genesis’s chains, made by Zeus, are unbreakable “by his own creation”.
  • 00:15:08–00:15:28 Genesis: this is “Zeus’ personal realm”.
  • 00:19:06–00:19:54 Ultra Vegito: the smoke on Genesis’s hand was his own charred Buu flesh, which spread over Genesis.
  • 00:20:38–00:20:55 Ultra Vegito: “The power of Zeus is mine!”
  • 00:21:37–00:21:53 The Buu absorption fails — “for the first time”.
  • 00:24:14–00:24:23 The Cell tail’s needle snaps on Genesis’s skin.
  • 00:25:47–00:26:28 Ultra Vegito’s old android absorption hand; Prime Zeus’s lightning in the room electrocutes him.
  • 00:27:44–00:28:02 Genesis: the room is imbued with Zeus’s energy; nothing from outside can free or harm him while the chains hold.
  • 00:28:24–00:29:49 Ultra Vegito’s blood form enters Genesis through his ears.
  • 00:31:14–00:31:37 Inside his own body, Genesis greets him: “this is better than being locked up!”
  • 00:33:16–00:33:30 Zeus: Round 10, Elder God Hades versus Elder God (Zeus).
  • 00:34:37–00:34:58 Demigra: “Our plan is already in motion… You and I are no longer the only devils here anymore.”
  • 00:37:42–00:38:16 Hades’s last fighter: a giant three-eyed fusion of all the team’s previous members, who calls Demigra “Lord Vegeta”.
  • 00:36:44–00:36:56 Zeus: “Strangely familiar… About your energy… Vegeta.”
  • 00:38:24–00:38:47 Zeus’s fighters: Saga (debut) and Ardos.
  • 00:39:37–00:40:03 Saga: “I beat you once… You’re the bastard son. With two elder gods for brothers.”
  • 00:40:15–00:40:36 Saga’s flip phone: “Babe. I’m busy right now… Keep the bed warm.”

Uncertainties

  • The name of Hades’s Round 10 opponent is cut off (00:33:30), but Hades’s reaction and Zeus’s fighters make it Zeus (inferred).
  • Demigra’s “young devils” are “those other Vegitos” and Son Gohan in Hades’s guess, which Demigra answers only with “Sure” (00:34:58–00:35:14).
  • Saga’s “I beat you once” and “bastard son” (00:39:40–00:40:03) are not explained; who calls on the phone is not shown.
  • The transcriber repeated a stretch of the Saga/Ardos entrance (00:38:52–00:39:12)
