Summary

Genesis says he was Zeus’s last creation, the one entrusted with Zeus’s own powers — “Zeus Prime” (ep 0234 00:00:24–00:01:06). Piccolo, who learned from Castiel that the Elder Gods think Zeus a shell of his prime self, urges Omni Vegito to flee, but Omni Vegito refuses and calls for their secret “Strategy VP” (as heard), which Piccolo says was being saved for the final rounds (ep 0234 00:02:04–00:05:24). Genesis’s lightning, faster than light, takes off Omni Vegito’s arm and later half his body and skull, but each time Piccolo heals him at once with a snap of his fingers, with power the narration likens to Earth’s Dragon Balls (ep 0234 00:07:15–00:14:55). Omni Vegito explains the plan: every injury and healing gives his two genius Saiyan halves a Zenkai boost, and Genesis has been making him stronger; he then matches and overpowers Genesis, even drawing blood (ep 0234 00:16:53–00:23:50). Their combined attack — Piccolo’s energy dragon wrapped around a Kamehameha — meets Genesis’s most concentrated lightning, until Prime Zeus appears and slaps both attacks aside (ep 0234 00:24:31–00:27:59). The deflected lightning causes an explosion that Zeus says would have wiped out Castiel’s entire team, and Omni Vegito is shaken by how close he came to erasure (ep 0234 00:31:00–00:32:28). For this “gravest of disobedience”, Zeus has chains drag the screaming Genesis back into his cage through black portals; Genesis’s last lightning splits the stage (ep 0234 00:30:06–00:37:06). Zeus then turns on Omni Vegito and Piccolo, who decide to fight, and appears beside them with a lightning-covered palm (ep 0234 00:37:26–00:39:05).

Key events

  • 00:00:24–00:00:51 Genesis: Zeus created him, “I was his last… An embodiment of what he was. ZEUS PRIME!”
  • 00:03:41–00:04:02 Piccolo: the Elder Gods call Zeus a shell of his young self, “But they never knew why! Other than his age!”
  • 00:04:52–00:05:24 Omni Vegito calls for “Strategy BP/VP” (as heard), saved for the final rounds.
  • 00:07:15–00:08:44 Genesis’s lightning severs Omni Vegito’s arm; Piccolo heals him with a snap.
  • 00:13:41–00:14:55 Half of Omni Vegito’s body and skull burned away, healed again; Piccolo’s healing likened to Earth’s Dragon Balls.
  • 00:20:06–00:21:36 Omni Vegito explains the Zenkai boost: his two genius Saiyans get stronger every time they are injured and healed.
  • 00:23:38–00:23:45 He draws Genesis’s blood for the first time.
  • 00:25:16–00:25:47 The combined dragon Kamehameha.
  • 00:27:09–00:27:52 Prime Zeus slaps away both attacks: “Foolish children!”
  • 00:31:10–00:31:26 The deflected Zeus-lightning explodes “of nuclear proportions”.
  • 00:32:28 Zeus: that attack alone “would have wiped out Castiel’s entire team”.
  • 00:32:51 Zeus: Genesis will be “sent back down to your cage”.
  • 00:33:55–00:37:06 Chains from black portals drag Genesis away; his lightning splits the green stage.
  • 00:38:15–00:39:05 Zeus, palm covered in lightning, appears beside Omni Vegito and Piccolo.

Uncertainties

  • The plan’s code name is heard as “Strategy BP” and “Strategy VP” (00:04:52, 00:06:34, 00:37:51).
  • Zeus’s lines at 00:29:33–00:29:48 and 00:33:03 are garbled; his point is that Genesis misused the power and fought outside the tournament.
  • Genesis’s line “How does Arch come up with this?” (00:26:01) reads as a joke about the series’ author.
  • Whether Zeus actually strikes them is left for the next episode — he spares them; they reappear alive in their quarters (ep 0235 00:08:10–00:08:55). The title’s “first loss” is not shown in this episode.
