Summary

Goku and Vegeta, battle-worn from “countless decades of training within the god-killer’s subconscious”, face Shallot, Cumber and Goro; Goro senses they are “every bit the monster Vegito is” (ep 0224 00:00:37–00:02:34). Vegito tells his team this is their final chance: if they lose, Goku and Vegeta will take their powers (ep 0224 00:02:52–00:03:34). Goku takes his Archangel form with white wings and Vegeta his partial-devil form with black wings — their last forms from the battle with Lucif — and both toy with the Sadala brothers (ep 0224 00:05:27–00:08:33). Goro summons a black abyss beast whose “Demon spray” fires hundreds of tentacles, letting Shallot and Cumber land surprise hits (ep 0224 00:09:26–00:13:47). Goku and Vegeta answer with one-hit blows that send the brothers flying, then turn into pure flame — cyan for Goku, purple for Vegeta — a technique even Vegito didn’t know of, and burst through Goro’s beast (ep 0224 00:15:43–00:19:36). Vegito realises their secret training is why his own power has grown so fast (ep 0224 00:20:38–00:20:58). Goku and Vegeta knock Goro out; as Vegeta begins absorbing the brothers, Goro pours his black matter into Shallot and Cumber, who rise “Demonified completely” (ep 0224 00:21:54–00:29:16). Chronoa and Whis arrive and freeze everyone; Chronoa is angry that Goku and Vegeta are out, since she “blocked all demonic powers” there (ep 0224 00:29:35–00:30:54). Vegito says it is devil powers she forbids, not demon powers; she tries to age him to dust, but his red Seraphim shatter the hieroglyph (ep 0224 00:31:05–00:33:31). He names the Elder Gods’ one weakness — “The Devil Gene!” — and calls on Kazuya, whose devil form appears behind him (ep 0224 00:33:39–00:34:29).

Key events

  • 00:00:50–00:00:59 Goku and Vegeta trained “countless decades” inside Vegito.
  • 00:02:23–00:02:34 Goro: “These two are every bit the monster Vegito is.”
  • 00:03:06–00:03:34 Vegito: a “final chance to prove your place on Team UV”; losers’ powers go to Goku and Vegeta.
  • 00:05:34–00:05:51 Goku’s Archangel form (white wings); Vegeta’s partial-devil form (black wings).
  • 00:07:19–00:07:23 Vegeta’s purple Seraphim eyes.
  • 00:07:33–00:07:43 Shallot, “once known as the strongest saiyan of his universe. The devil himself”, fires from his third eye.
  • 00:10:06 Goku: Goro’s beast looks like “blood techniques we saw in the demon realm”.
  • 00:11:12–00:11:46 Goro’s “DEMON SPRAY”: hundreds of tentacles.
  • 00:15:56–00:16:49 Goku and Vegeta punch Shallot and Cumber out of the fight.
  • 00:17:31–00:17:51 Cyan and purple flame bodies; 00:18:05–00:18:21 Vegito is “open-mouthed”.
  • 00:20:45–00:20:58 Vegito: “No wonder my power was progressing so damn quickly!… What else do I not know?”
  • 00:20:19–00:20:25 Goro: “You promised me I’d be able to save my people!”
  • 00:26:40–00:27:24 Goro feeds his black matter into Shallot and Cumber.
  • 00:28:40–00:28:53 The brothers “Demonified completely”, with blackened eyes.
  • 00:30:06–00:30:46 Chronoa and Whis arrive; Whis: “It seems he has found a way to let them out.”
  • 00:30:53–00:30:54 Chronoa: “I have blocked all demonic powers from functioning here!”
  • 00:31:20–00:31:27 Vegito: “It’s not demon powers you forbid… It’s devil.”
  • 00:33:13–00:33:31 Vegito shatters Chronoa’s Elder hieroglyph as the hooded figure did.
  • 00:33:39–00:34:06 Vegito: Lucif was made an Archangel because of the Elder Gods’ fear of an Omni Devil and a devil fusing; their one weakness is “The Devil Gene!”
  • 00:34:09–00:34:22 “Kazuya… Show me how to use it!” — Devil Kazuya behind him.

Uncertainties

  • Who says “You kinda remind me of my son” (00:07:48–00:07:55) is unclear (Goku inferred, given Goten).
  • “These two wouldn’t even be fit to be father’s royal guard” (00:03:55) is inferred to be Vegeta speaking of King Vegeta’s guard.
  • Whether Goro’s black matter has turned the brothers into demons for good isn’t said.
  • Vegito’s claims about why Lucif was made an Archangel are his own reading; Chronoa only says he doesn’t know what he is talking about (00:31:33).
