Summary

Trudging through sector 8’s snow, Yamoshi explains that a sector’s whole look and harshness is set by the nature of its emperor’s power (ep 0117 00:01:59–00:02:45). A giant snow hand bursts from the ground; when Yamoshi smashes it, the scattered snow rises as dozens of one-eyed snow demons, which he and Vegito wipe out back to back — stronger than lower demons elsewhere, Yamoshi warns (ep 0117 00:03:40–00:12:54). They spot a castle atop an ice mountain; Yamoshi proposes sneaking in, and Vegito, eyes red, calls that cowardly and fires a Big Bang at it (ep 0117 00:15:06–00:18:12). The blast vanishes and comes back at them; they deflect it together, and a white demon resembling Frieza descends in a pillar of light, wine glass in hand, greeting the “chosen failed vessel of Lucif” (ep 0117 00:18:54–00:24:31). He notes Vegito’s red demonic eyes — he has been feeding on his victims’ energy — says his form is old and ultimate, and that he left this sector years ago (ep 0117 00:25:05–00:26:46). He outpaces Vegito’s Super Saiyan God, Ultra Instinct and Ultra forms, breaking his ribs with an elbow, and asks to see “the Seraphim” the Grand Priest uses (ep 0117 00:28:43–00:35:47). Vegito shows his Seraphim eyes, and the demon is pleased that he is “following orders” (ep 0117 00:37:13–00:38:55). Meanwhile a tall armoured demon with a Cell-like mouth appears behind Yamoshi: “I am Cobra… Demon Emperor… Of Sector 8” — so who is the other? (ep 0117 00:39:56–00:41:18).

Key events

  • 00:01:24–00:01:36 Yamoshi: “no sign of any life. This feels like a trap.”
  • 00:02:05–00:02:45 Yamoshi: each sector is different; “a Sector’s whole appearance and harshness is all determined by the nature of the ruling Emperor’s power”.
  • 00:04:06–00:04:42 A giant white hand bursts from the snow; Vegito dodges.
  • 00:05:06–00:05:14 Yamoshi’s kick, “powered… by the half of Vegito’s energy that still resides within him”, bursts it.
  • 00:05:44–00:06:33 The snow re-forms into dozens of snow demons — tall, thin-waisted, with one huge eye each.
  • 00:09:13–00:09:50 Yamoshi blasts a demon behind Vegito.
  • 00:10:39–00:10:46 Yamoshi: “Don’t forget, I’m your ancestor! Whatever you think, came to me first!”
  • 00:10:56–00:11:59 Back to back, their twin beams wipe out the demons, leaving two craters.
  • 00:12:41–00:12:54 Yamoshi: “Even those lower demons, were quite a bit stronger… It all spells bad news, with how strong the next emperor will be!”
  • 00:14:21–00:14:37 Yamoshi: the emperor “doesn’t want to make it easy, for just anyone to challenge his throne”.
  • 00:15:06–00:15:25 A castle and kingdom atop a giant ice mountain.
  • 00:16:02–00:16:22 Yamoshi: “If we get by sneakily… We may be able to take him out… without a battle!”
  • 00:16:48–00:17:23 Vegito, eyes red: “I think I’ll be letting the emperor find me!… you better make that the last time you ever mention something so cowardly to a Saiyan like me!”
  • 00:17:55–00:18:12 Vegito’s Big Bang flies at the kingdom; Yamoshi: “Wait, you fool! The throne!”
  • 00:18:56–00:19:12 The blast vanishes; the castle is intact.
  • 00:19:47–00:20:21 The Big Bang returns at them; together they deflect it behind them (00:21:13–00:21:47).
  • 00:22:36–00:22:48 Vegito: “The only one of you weakling demons to handle an attack like that had to be the best of your kind!”
  • 00:23:02–00:23:09 A beam of light bursts from the kingdom “like a dragon exploding out of the dragon balls”.
  • 00:23:42–00:23:54 “finally we meet, chosen failed vessel of Lucif. My journey here seems to have been worth it after all.”
  • 00:24:10–00:24:23 A new demon, “More than likely, the demon emperor of sector 8”, resembling “a certain villain from Dragon Ball history”, holding a glass of wine.
  • 00:25:05–00:25:30 “Those are demonic eyes… have you truly been feasting on the energies of your victims?… How sadistic. I love it.”
  • 00:25:55–00:26:01 Vegito: “Looks like we’ve finally got the Frieza knockoff this time.”
  • 00:26:17–00:26:46 The demon: “This is a form I have had for a very long time… Not when I have the ultimate one… I did leave this pitiful sector many years ago.”
  • 00:27:07–00:27:14 Yamoshi: “He hasn’t been here for years. The demon emperor of the sector? How?”
  • 00:28:04 The demon: “I see now why Lucif chose you.”
  • 00:28:43–00:29:53 Super Saiyan God Vegito misses; the demon is already back on the ground.
  • 00:30:26–00:31:05 Mastered Ultra Instinct also misses: “Ah, the technique of the angels and destroyers. I did hear you had mastered this.”
  • 00:31:42–00:32:03 A ball of blue frost energy is thrown down at Vegito.
  • 00:32:33–00:32:56 Vegito’s Ultra form (Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego): “The face of the god killer!”
  • 00:33:22–00:33:41 The demon’s elbow smashes Vegito’s ribs: “This, too, is far too low-level!”
  • 00:34:10–00:34:19 Vegito: “His speed, no matter the form, I can’t keep up. This is the jump from sector 9 to 8.”
  • 00:35:02–00:35:18 A glance from the demon’s eye ignites his own frost ball before it lands.
  • 00:35:32–00:35:47 “show me an advanced angel technique… The one the priest uses… The Seraphim”.
  • 00:36:58–00:37:03 Yamoshi: “I don’t think he can win this without taking back the power he gave me! 50% of him is not going to be enough!”
  • 00:37:43–00:38:03 Vegito, with Seraphim eyes: “your little movements and speed will all be trackable!”
  • 00:38:26–00:38:55 The demon: “these special eyes, the ones the Grand Priest has… Thank you for following orders for once, flesh pile… You shall be handsomely rewarded”.
  • 00:39:21–00:39:38 Yamoshi: Vegito didn’t need Seraphim for Sega, and now has Sega’s power too.
  • 00:40:01–00:40:31 Behind Yamoshi, a tall armoured demon with a “strange imperfect cell-like mouth”.
  • 00:40:46–00:41:07 “A demon king… Do you sense my power level to be that low?… I am Cobra… Demon Emperor… Of Sector 8”.
  • 00:41:13–00:41:18 Yamoshi: “You’re… The Demon Emperor… Then who the hell is that?!”

Characters appearing

  • Cobra, demon emperor of sector 8 (first appearance)
  • Mentioned: Lucif, Frieza, the Grand Priest, Sega

Threads

Uncertainties

  • The emperor’s name is heard once, “Cobra” (00:41:02), followed by a garbled “FUNTER” (00:41:09).
  • Whether the three-toed foot of ep 0116 was the Frieza-like demon’s isn’t shown — likely, given Frieza’s three-toed feet (inferred).
  • The Frieza-like demon denies knowing Frieza (00:26:17–00:26:25) and says he “left this pitiful sector many years ago” (00:26:46); his rank isn’t stated here — next episode he reveals himself as Crime, emperor of sector 5 (ep 0118 00:03:40–00:05:02) — and whose “orders” Vegito is following (00:38:48) is not stated.
  • “The throne is dead!” (00:18:23) is probably a mishearing; Yamoshi fears for the throne in the castle (inferred).
