Aliases & name spellings
- Zamasu (Gowasu, ep 0212 00:07:21); “the strongest Kai that has ever been” (himself, ep 0212 00:08:13–00:08:17).
- Gohan Black (ep 0211 00:14:17–00:14:54): that timeline’s counterpart of Goku Black, Zamasu in the body he stole from Gohan (inferred: Black says he chose Gohan’s body for “The Zero Mortals Plan”, and the flashback that follows shows Zamasu resolving to take the boy’s body, ep 0212 00:06:07–00:10:36; never said outright). See gohan-black.
Overview
The Supreme Kai apprentice of Gowasu in god-killer Gohan’s timeline. When Gowasu shows him the teen Gohan beating Perfect Cell — a mortal stronger than Zamasu — he decides that such power must belong only to gods and plans to take the boy’s body (ep 0212 00:07:13–00:10:36). As Gohan Black, with a Potara earring, a time ring and an Ultra Ego, he invades the future, mocks Gohan as his “twin” and erases Future Trunks, until the transformed god-killer Gohan snaps his neck (ep 0211 00:14:17–00:36:41; ep 0212 00:19:44–00:20:30, 00:37:45–00:38:34).
As of his last appearance (ep 0212): dead, his neck snapped by god-killer Gohan (ep 0212 00:37:45–00:38:34).
Affiliations & relationships
- Gowasu (god-killer Gohan’s timeline): his master, who shows him Gohan’s power as a lesson (ep 0212 00:07:13–00:09:43).
- Gohan (god-killer Gohan’s timeline): the boy whose body he covets and, as Black, the “twin” he faces and is killed by (ep 0212 00:10:05–00:10:36; ep 0211 00:36:25–00:36:41; ep 0212 00:37:45–00:38:34).
- Future Trunks (god-killer Gohan’s timeline): erased by Black — “Gone forever” — when he shields Gohan (ep 0212 00:19:44–00:20:45).
- Rumsshi: the narration guesses Black got his Ultra Ego by threatening Gowasu’s life to make Rumsshi train him (ep 0212 00:11:10–00:11:24) (the narration’s own guess).
Abilities / traits
- As Gohan Black: one Potara earring and a time ring, like Goku Black (ep 0211 00:14:17–00:14:54); an Ultra Ego form, “The power of a God of destruction”, instead of a Rosé form (ep 0211 00:21:54–00:22:21; ep 0212 00:11:10).
- Disdains mortals; believes great power belongs only to gods (ep 0212 00:08:01–00:08:42, 00:10:05–00:10:36).
Variants
- Other Zamasus are not separate pages here: the source series’ Zamasu (Goku Black’s original self) is in the name bank under Merged Zamasu (see names) and Goku Black. Gohan Black is this Zamasu’s stolen-body state, not another person (inferred, see Aliases).
